Trip Details

The Arctic…mere words alone cannot describe the stunning beauty, remoteness, and the wild and unfettered feeling you will have as you take a big step back in time during your Private Arctic Alaska Experience....and we do mean Experience!  You will be far above the Arctic Circle with thousands of square miles of unspoiled grandeur stretched out before you.  During the summer months you will experience the Midnight Sun, when the sun never goes below the horizon, the sun is up 24 hours a day!  What an incredible experience that is!  You will lose track of the days!  (I have wonderful and vivid memories of my first summer in Arctic Alaska...what an incredible experience).

Dip your fly line in unspoiled crystal clear waters and catch a Rainbow, Arctic Grayling, Dolly Varden, Burbot or an Arctic Char that we will cook on the gravel bar right where you caught it!  We will show you fishing like you can't even begin to imagine, in waters that have only very rarely been fished...if ever!  And you and your guide will be the ONLY ones of the water, and it will all be filmed for you!

You will most likely see Grizzly Bear, Moose, Dall Sheep, Caribou, and Wolves.  And depending on the time of year you might even see a Polar Bear or two!

Today everything around us seems so damaged; damaged by the pandemic, social unrest, bitterness, corruption, lockdowns, sickness, and this growing polarization of nearly everything in society.  This heartbreaking stress has taken a toll on all of us.  But there is something wonderful growing out of that. I see it growing like a tornado in the hearts and minds of people.  It is this unquenchable, primal desire to get away from their daily routine, this damaged society, and surround themselves with beauty, with wilderness, with animals, with nature, with peace and quiet.  In short, people want to heal their broken hearts.

In order to make any sense of what is going on in the world, to be able to cope with what is happening, a person MUST have more beauty in their life than stress and heartache.  And we want to help you with that.  I look forward to exploring Alaska with you and seeing your stress melt away and your heart healed!

You will visit many places.  Starting in Fairbanks you will be flown north to experience:

The Fine Print:

Number of Guests We Can Accommodate:  One or Two.  For two guests we use two pilot/guides with two Super Cubs…one for each guest.  Both aircraft depart and arrive at all destinations at the same time.

Length of Trip: 14 days, not counting your arrival and departure dates

Dates Available:  From May through September

Lodging--Arrival/Departure:  A one night stay at your arrival and departure destination in Fairbanks is included in the cost.  We will make the reservations for you at a very nice hotel in Fairbanks

We Offer You Two Options For Lodging During Your Private Guided Arctic Alaska Air Adventure

  1. We furnish a very comfortable tent camp (that is carried in the airplane) for each nights stay. You will have your own private tent, a very comfortable cot, and a sleeping pad.  We can even furnish the sleeping bag if you desire.  Please see additional details about our tent camp amenities below.

  2. Or you can choose a combination of our tent camp and staying in a nice hotel.

  • The Aurora Hotel is located at Deadhorse http://theaurorahotel.net/.  We will fly you to and from your hotel each day of your Private Arctic Alaska Air Adventure.  The cost for each nights stay at the Aurora Hotel is an additional $275 per night (double occupancy) which includes all meals which are cafeteria style.  (I have eaten there on several occasions and the food is very good and lots of it).  All of Deadhorse and Prudhoe Bay is dry—meaning no alcohol is allowed there—which is understandable given that it is an operating oil field facility.

  • You will also be staying at the Top Of The World Hotel in Utqiaġvik (formally Barrow) https://www.tundratoursinc.com/.   The room rate there is $300 per night (double occupancy) plus meals. There is a restaurant in the hotel. Utqiaġvik is also a dry city.

Neither hotel is a luxury lodge but they are nice hotels. We will make the reservations for you. We do not mark up the cost and we receive no kickbacks from the hotels.  Because this option of staying in hotels combined with our tent camp is a custom type of private adventure we will need to discuss this with you to see how many nights you want to split between camping and staying in a hotel.  However there will be some camping involved because of the sheer distance we will travel.

Hygiene While Camping:  We carry a small portable propane fired hot water shower in the airplane along with a portable shower stall, and a wash basin with hot water. We also set up a portable toilet with a privacy enclosure.  For longer trips we make arrangements for you to do your laundry

Meals—Tent Camp:  All meals prepared at our tent camps are included in the cost (alcohol is not included).  Breakfast is usually eggs, fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal or pancakes.  Lunch is sometimes Fresh Caught Fish (off the fly rod and onto the grill kind of fresh) grilled on the shore where you (or your guide) caught them, or Smoked Alaska Salmon, or a Moose Burger and homemade bread.  For the evening meal we usually grill Wild Alaska Salmon, Halibut, Caribou, Moose, or Fresh Caught Fish, along with serving vegetables.  However, if you are a vegetarian or have any food allergies we can tailor the menu to fit your needs.

Meals--Other: Taken at restaurants or lodges are for the clients account and expense

Cost:  $27,300 per person plus optional lodging. We accept Cash, Credit Cards or Bitcoin, along with personal and company checks. (Credit Card transactions will be charged an addition 5% to cover processing fees)

Terms:  50% down to hold your reservation.  (50% refund for cancellations made 60 days prior to your arrival date).  Balance (50%) is due 60 days prior to your arrival date.
