Interior Alaska

Seven days--Available May through October

Trip Details

The interior of Alaska is vast by any standard and a person could spend a lifetime exploring all of it.  On your Private Interior Alaska Adventure you will experience the parts of it that we have found to be the most exciting and rewarding…no…rewarding is not the right word, it is far more than that.  It is breathtaking in the very least.  As we fly around the perimeter of the sixth highest mountain and third highest volcano in the America, covered in massive glaciers, you will feel just how tiny and vulnerable we are in this world…It will give a new perspective about life.

You will experience the best parts of all of Interior Alaska, from massive towering glacier covered mountains, to deep lush valleys, to wild thundering rivers, and wide open expanses of land that seem to have no end.

Dip your fly line in unspoiled crystal clear waters and catch a Salmon, Rainbow, Grayling or Arctic Char that we will cook on the gravel bar right where you caught it!  We will show you fishing like you can't even begin to imagine, in waters that have only very rarely been fished...if ever!  You and your guide will be the ONLY ones of the water and it will all be filmed for you!

Your Private Interior Alaska Adventure will begin in Fairbanks and from there we will fly east towards the Canadian Border.  We will land on extremely remote bush airstrips and a few gravel bars to try your skill at catching your dinner with your fly rod. You will see many, many wondrous vistas and experience breathtaking sights that few people ever have the privilege of experiencing:

  • Robertson River

  • Cathedral Peaks

  • Tok

  • Chicken

  • 40 Mile River

  • Mosquito Fork

  • Chicken

  • Eagle

  • The Yukon River

  • Northway

  • Nabesna

  • Slana

  • Head waters of the Copper River

  • Mt. Sanford 16,235 feet

    • It is the sixth highest mountain in the United States and the third highest volcano. The south face of the volcano, at the head of the Sanford Glacier, rises 8,000 feet in 1 mile resulting in one of the steepest gradients in North America

  • Sanford Glacier

  • Northern portion of Wrangle-Saint Elias National Park and Preserve

  • Tetlin National Wildlife Reserve

    • At 932,000 acres in size, the Tetlin Refuge shares a common boundary with Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve and Kluane National Park in Canada, to form the world’s largest contiguous conservation unit totaling 14.2 million acres.

  • Nutzotin Mountains

Today everything around us seems so damaged; damaged by the pandemic, social unrest, bitterness, corruption, lockdowns, sickness, and this growing polarization of nearly everything in society.  This heartbreaking stress has taken a toll on all of us.  But there is something wonderful growing out of that. I see it growing like a tornado in the hearts and minds of people.  It is this unquenchable, primal desire to get away from their daily routine, this damaged society, and surround themselves with beauty, with wilderness, with animals, with nature, with peace and quiet.  In short, people want to heal their broken hearts.

In order to make any sense of what is going on in the world, to be able to cope with what is happening, a person MUST have more beauty in their life than stress and heartache.  And we want to help you with that.  I look forward to exploring Alaska with you and seeing your stress melt away and your heart healed!

And you will receive a professionally filmed and edited legacy video of your extraordinary adventure to show family, friends, and colleagues.
