Trip Details

As the name implies you will experience a combination of all the destinations listed...and much more.  Truly a bucket list Private Air Adventure!  You will experience how vast, spectacular, and remote Alaska truly is. So just how big is Alaska?  Well it will surprise you.

Most people know that Alaska is the largest state in the U.S.   However, you might not realize exactly how large Alaska’s 665,384 square miles really is.

Consider these amazing facts:

  • Alaska is about one-fifth the size of the Lower 48 (continental U.S.)

  • The next largest state, Texas, would fit into Alaska 2.5 times

  • In fact, if you combined the area of Texas, California and Montana, it would still be less than the size of Alaska

  • East to west, Alaska measures 2,500 miles, which is about the distance from Savannah, Georgia, to Santa Barbara, California

  • Alaska has 94,743 square miles of water within the state which includes over 3,000 rivers and over 3 million lakes that are 5 acres in size or bigger

  • Alaska has more miles of coastline than the entire Lower 48

  • With a population density of 1.3 people per square mile, The Last Frontier has less people per square mile than any other state by a very wide margin.  Consider these population facts:

    • Wyoming, the second-least dense state, features 6.0 people per square mile.

    • In contrast, New Jersey, the state with the highest population density, squeezes 1,210 people into every square mile.

    • However that is pale in comparison to the population density of Washington, D.C. with an astonishing 10,589 people per square mile!

  • Imagine a parcel of land that is one mile long on each side. Now visualize 1.3 Alaskans in it.  You would have to look long and hard, equivalent to a search and rescue mission, just to find them.  Now try to imagine that same size parcel of land with 10,589 people jammed into it! I don’t know how people can live like that, but I am glad that they do…it leaves more room for the few of us here in Alaska.

And the fly fishing!  There are extremely few people in the world that can say they have fished as many water bodies in Alaska that you will have the opportunity to cast your fly line into....unspoiled crystal clear waters.  Catch Salmon, Rainbow, Grayling or Arctic Char that we will cook on the gravel bar right where you caught it!  We will show you fishing like you can't even begin to imagine, in waters that have only very rarely been fished...if ever!  You and your guide will be the ONLY ones on the water and it will be filmed for you!

The wildlife viewing will also be spectacular; Moose, Dall Sheep, Grizzly Bear, Caribou buy the thousands, and maybe a Wolverine, a Lynx, or a Pack of Wolves.  If you schedule your  adventure at the right time you might even see a Polar Bear!

There are no words in any language that can accurately describe this heart soaring, life changing Private Alaska Experience!  And you will receive your own professionally filmed and edited legacy video of your extraordinary adventure to show your family, friends, and colleagues.

There are experiences that are written in indelible ink on our minds which change our lives forever…Let us design an epic one for you.

The Fine Print:

  • Number of Guests We Can Accommodate:  One or Two. For added safety, and to make your adventure much more comfortable, we always take two airplanes on every adventure, whether it is for one guest or two. Both airplanes depart and arrive at the destinations at the same time.  Two Pilot/Guides, two Super Cubs, for either one or two guests! (Currently we take a maximum of two guests per trip).

  • Length of Trip: 21 days, not counting your arrival and departure dates

  • Dates Available:  From May through September

  • Lodging--Arrival/Departure:  A one night stay at your arrival and departure destination in Fairbanks is included in the cost.  We will make the reservations for you at a very nice hotel in Fairbanks

  • We Offer You Three Options For Lodging During This Private Guided Alaska Air Adventure:

    1. We furnish a very comfortable tent camp (that is carried in the airplane) for each nights stay. You will have your own private tent, a very comfortable cot, and a sleeping pad.  We can even furnish the sleeping bag if you desire.  Please see additional details about our tent camp amenities below.

    2. A combination of our tent camp and staying in a nice hotel along the route.  An example of the hotels and lodges where you would stay are:

    3. Or you can choose to only stay in hotels and lodges along our route. We will fly you to and from your hotel or lodge each day of your Private See It All Alaska Air Adventure.  The cost for each nights stay at these hotels and lodges range from $275 to $390 per night (double occupancy). We do not mark up the cost and we receive no kickbacks from the hotels or lodges.  Because the option of staying in hotels (either combined with our tent camp or as  a stand alone option) is a custom type of private adventure we will need to discuss this with you to see how many nights you want to split between camping and staying in a hotel, or if you would prefer to say in a hotel or lodge each night.  (With the exception of your arrival and departure days all hotels are for the clients account and expense, however we will make the reservations for you).

  • Hygiene While Camping:  We carry a small portable propane fired hot water shower in the airplane along with a portable shower stall, and a wash basin with hot water. We also set up a portable toilet with a privacy enclosure.  For longer trips we make arrangements for you to do your laundry.

  • Meals—Tent Camp:  All meals prepared at our tent camps are included in the cost (alcohol is not included).  Breakfast is usually eggs, breakfast meat, cereal, oatmeal or pancakes.  Lunch is sometimes Fresh Caught Fish (off the fly rod and onto the grill kind of fresh) grilled on the shore where you (or your guide) caught them, or Smoked Alaska Salmon, or a Moose Burger and homemade bread.  For the evening meal we usually grill Wild Alaska Salmon, Halibut, Caribou, Moose, or Fresh Caught Fish, along with serving vegetables.  However, if you are a vegetarian or have any food allergies we can tailor the menu to fit your needs.

  • Other Meals: Taken at restaurants or lodges are for our guests account and expense
